Yesterday, the Middlesex Republican Club sponsored an event at the State House for President Abraham Lincoln and initiated a Bicentennial Commission to plan events for Lincoln's 200th birthday next year. Chairman Torkildsen also spoke of Lincoln at the event yesterday.Boston Globe reports.
